OUR MISSION
From the backstretch to the board room, the Chaplains, Councils and volunteers of the Race Track Chaplaincy of America (RTCA) are dedicated to sharing the love of Christ by ministering to the needs of everyone involved in the horse racing industry.
Who we serve
Recent statistics state that the horse racing industry in the United States employs over 450,000 people, many of whom have non-traditional work schedules which do not allow them the opportunity to attend traditional church services. These communities present a great need for the message of God's love. Our Chaplains follow Jesus' example by following the need and taking the church to the people.
How We Serve
RTCA National supports affiliate Chaplaincies whose Chaplains and local councils who provide many services at horse racing tracks, farms, and training centers across the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico.
Each local Chaplaincy and Chaplain meet the unique needs of the those they serve through a variety of programs. RTCA Chaplaincies range from large non-profit organizations with several staff members, to smaller Councils with volunteers, and even teams of one- the Chaplain. All of these faithful servants work hard each and every day to show the love of Jesus and share God's love with the horse racing industry.

Why We Serve
Jesus was once asked, "What is the most important commandment?" He answered, " 'You must love the Lord your God with all your heart, all your soul, all your mind, and all your strength.'
The second is equally important: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' No other commandment is greater than these." (Mark 12:30-31)

Serving people just as Jesus called us to do.
In the simplest of terms, the primary mission of any Christian is to
"Love God, love others."
The Chaplains, Councils, volunteers, and supporters of RTCA carry out this basic mission to the entire horse racing industry every day.
What We Offer
RTCA services, resources, and opportunities are thoughtfully tailored to meet the needs of each racing community. These offerings vary by track and are guided by the leadership of local chaplaincy councils. At some locations, a single Chaplain and a team of dedicated volunteers provide care and support, while other tracks are served by multiple Chaplains and staff members to address the unique needs of that track—or even several tracks in the region.
